La primera escuela pública secundaria argentina con el nombre “Quino”

Con alegría y emoción recibimos la noticia de que una institución educativa en Río Negro llevará el nombre “Quino”. Se trata de la Escuela Secundaria Nro. 16, ubicada en la ciudad de General Roca.
El nombre fue elegido por todos los miembros de la comunidad educativa de la escuela, quienes participaron en el proceso en plena pandemia, en octubre de 2020. Luego, una resolución del Consejo Provincial de Educación de la Provincia de Río Negro estableció formalmente, a principios de marzo de este año, que la escuela lleve, de ahora en más, el nombre “Quino”.
Es la primera escuela secundaria en Argentina que tendrá el nombre del humorista gráfico más querido por niños y adolescentes, quienes crecieron leyendo a Mafalda, su inigualable creación.
Pablo Iglesias Cortina, preceptor de la escuela y quien lideró el proceso de selección del nombre, agregó: “Quino dijo en una entrevista hace algunos años, cuando los libros de Mafalda llegaron a todas las escuelas del país, que todo lo que hacía lo había aprendido de sus maestras. Para nosotros eso fue como reivindicar lo poderosa que es la educación.”
