De luto el dibujo animado en Cuba: falleció Juan Padrón

Juan Padrón, el creador del dibujo animado más importante en la historia del cine cubano, el mambí “Elpidio Valdés” falleció este martes, 24 de marzo.
Juan Padrón, de 73 años, es uno de los realizadores más queridos por el pueblo cubano. Varias generaciones crecieron disfrutando sus animados de Elpidio Valdés, que surgió en 1970 en la revista Pionero y luego saltó a la pequeña y a la gran pantalla de la mano del Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematográfico (ICAIC).
➡️También son recordadas sus series de Filminutos y Quinoscopios (realizados sobre dibujos e ideas de Quino), así como el largometraje de dibujos animados Vampiros en La Habana, de 1985.
➡️En 1993 la empresa española D.G. Producciones SA, en coproducción con TVE produce 104 episodios de Mafalda en dibujos animados de 1 minuto de duración dirigidos por Juan Padrón en el ICAIC.
