Mafalda will return as a sculpture
The well-known cartoon character by Argentine drawer Quino, Mafalda, will be in the neighborhood of her childhood, San Telmo, and will sit down on the threshold of the building where so many times made her excellent reflections.
Mafalda will have her own sculpture in the door of the building of 371 Chile street where Joaquín Salvador Lavado (a.k.a. Quino) uded to live, and chose as background for many of the scenes of his most famous cartoon story.
The sculpture will be “life-size” of a girl like Mafalda, avoiding the result of a giant, grotesque or shocking doll.
The idea arose four years ago when the fans of the girl on the Internet had requested to put a badge to identify the place, the proposal was accepted by the Government of the City and they decided to call Irrgang so that the sculpture of the girl materializes. |
